1 The Beatles vs. 128 Boston

The first matchup. The top seed taking on the lowest.

The Beatles are a juggernaut and a true 1 seed. Three great songwriters plus Ringo, who seems like a fun guy to hang out with. They helped revolutionize popular music in the 60s, going from sunny pop songs about hand-holding to psychedelic masterpieces like “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.” John, Paul and George went on to release classic solo albums after the band split.

Boston also crafted some classic songs such as “More Than a Feeling” and “Foreplay/Longtime”. Their first, self-titled album — the second-highest selling debut album of all time — is the most notable, partially because it was recorded in a basement in the 1970s and still sounds amazing.
