36 The Pixies vs. 93 The Eagles

The Pixies were trailblazers of alternative music and actually gained most of their fame after they broke up. The band formed in 1986 and recorded two classic full-length albums, “Surfer Rosa” and “Doolittle”, before disbanding in 1993. However, due to bands like Nirvana acknowledging their influence, The Pixies continued to gain fans. They reunited in 2004.

The Eagles were one of the innovators of country rock in the 1970s, recording a string of hits like “Desperado”, “Hotel California”, and “Take it Easy”. After a decade the band broke up and the members went on to varying degrees of solo success. The reformed in 1994 for “Hell Freezes Over”, which proved to be a huge hit, a have continued to record and tour intermittently since then.
