7 Pink Floyd vs. 122 Jon Spencer Blues Explosion

Pink Floyd were one of the pioneers of prog rock and psychedelia and also managed to become one of the best-selling acts in the history of music. The band originally found success led by Syd Barrett, but his deteriorating mental health forced him out. Roger Water’s then became the groups primary songwriter and led the group to even greater heights with “Dark Side of the Moon” and “The Wall”, among other albums.

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion is a prolific trio that formed in 1991 and draws on a number of influences, including punk, garage, and rockabilly. Throughout their career they have experimented with many different sounds, and were one of the innovators of the garage-blues fusion sound that bands like The White Stripes explored.
