10 David Bowie vs. 119 Motörhead

David Bowie has been one of the most influential musicians in the world since the late 1960s. Bowie created personas like Ziggy Stardust and The Thin White Duke and shifted his musical styles like he did his character, experimenting with folk, psychedelia, Krautrock, stadium rock, industrial, electronica, soul and just about every genre in between. It could be argued that no artist has been as influential on modern bands than David Bowie.

Lemmy Kilmister formed Motörhead in 1975 and the band basically created the speed metal genre with fast-charging songs like “Overkill” and “Ace of Spades.” In addition to his musical achievements, Lemmy has become a pop culture icon behind his legendary drinking, sexual conquests, controversial statements and general bad behavior.

This is a vote that truly hurt me to cast. But justice must be done.
