42 Janis Joplin vs. 87 Bjork

Janis Joplin broke down walls for women in rock ‘n’ roll and made a lasting impression with her raw, passionate vocals. Joplin’s short career ended with her death in 1970, but she inspired generations of female musicians.

I believe Bjork is the only elf in this tournament. The Icelandic singer started out in the Sugarcubes, but went on to greatest fame as a solo artist making challenging music with a variety of influences. She has also branched out into acting and fashion.
