3 Bob Dylan vs. 126 Fugazi

To try and sum up Bob Dylan in a few lines would be impossible. He was the voice of a generation; made folk music cool; caused a massive backlash by using an electric guitar; The Beatles and David Bowie, among others, wrote songs about him; and his lyrics still hit a note with people today. Dylan continues to be a draw on his Never Ending Tour, which has been going on since the late 1980s.

Fugazi was the ultimate do-it-yourself band, from their business practices to their support of local promoters attempting  to book shows. Founded by Ian MacKaye some years after the breakup of seminal hardcore band Minor Threat (which started the Straight Edge movement), Fugazi was notable for their staunch political stands as well as dedication to keeping live shows accessible and safe.
